our community values
We attract people to our platform who love supporting small because it feels good. When you support small AND talk about it on social media, you’re contributing to your community’s success. This isn’t about “what you can get” out of the platform, but rather what you can give to small businesses in your city and beyond!
We are all about lifting up our local community. Creating negative social media posts or being disrespectful to one another is not what we’re about. Our community is full of positive, enthusiastic local champions.
Whether you’re plugging into a Community Campaign like National Donut Day or you’re posting about the burger you tried at a new restaurant, we want you to create what YOU want to create and HOW you want to create it! Be true to yourself, it’s what makes this community great.
When you engage in a campaign, we expect you to honor your commitment and show up for the small business or brand like you said you would. Bailing on an event or not completing a campaign will result in being removed from the platform.

When you sign up as a hummingbird & integrate your social accounts, you’ll see available campaigns in your community & beyond. You can hit “interested” in the ones you genuinely would love to post about on social media and our team or our customers will select you if they want to collaborate.

A campaign is like a job posting. A company might be looking for 10 hummingbirds to come try out their new happy hour menu at their restaurant. Selected hummingbirds would get a $50 gift card with the request to create an Instagram Reel of their experience!

Hummingbirds is all about in-kind campaigns. From gift cards to complimentary spa services to free shoes, the brands we work with offer gifts to hummingbirds.

The brands we work with have different criteria. Some are only looking for 10 hummingbirds in a specific city. Others want hundreds of millennial moms to try and share a product. If you express interest in the campaign, brands will likely look at your followers, engagement on your content, and the style of your posts to see if you’re a good brand fit.
